Nurse.com announces media campaign to reach 1 million additional registered nurses in areas seeing job growth; campaign begins in Texas.
In response to a growing demand for nurses in Texas and across the U.S., Nurse.com is announcing the “Million More” campaign, which will introduce the many digital, print and social media resources Nurse.com makes available to registered nurses seeking employment, education and other career opportunities. The initiative also serves employment, higher education and other advertisers with successful means to reach RNs and begins with a special jobs-focused edition of Nurse.com magazine distributed to RNs throughout Texas.
“Nurse.com has been closely tracking rising demand for highly skilled registered nurses and is positioned to match nurses with growing employment and education opportunities,” said Nurse.com President and CEO Melyni Serpa. “Our goal is to support every nurse in America with the career resources we offer, from employment opportunities to continuing education programming and compelling nursing news.”
Texas in particular is experiencing growing demand for RNs, Serpa said.
“Much-valued nurses in Texas are searching for a variety of career resources — resources that Nurse.com has proudly provided for decades,” Serpa said. “The increased circulation to Texas nurses presents hospitals, health systems and nursing schools with a unique opportunity to connect with RNs throughout the entire state.”
The Million More campaign follows a July re-launch of Nurse.com on the web, including a new career portfolio feature called “PROfiles” that acts as a digital filing cabinet for nurses’ professional record keeping. The tool manages nurses’ work and education histories, certifications, continuing education transcripts, professional memberships and more.
“The PROfile feature is a professional resource for nurses, in one convenient location,” Serpa said. “Nurses can invite employers to view their PROfiles, increasing their visibility and networking capabilities in the job market.”
In addition to new opportunities for nurses seeking employment, Nurse.com is home to more than 650 award-winning continuing education courses for RNs, as well as CE Direct, the premier corporate education solution used by hundreds of top hospitals.
“Texas needs RNs who are current and informed in their practice,” said Robert Hess, RN, PhD, FAAN, Executive Vice President of Global Programming, Nurse.com. “For more than 30 years, our company has provided what nurses need to know — before they know they need to know it. We accomplish this by offering nurses a vast array of peer-reviewed online continuing education opportunities. We are the largest provider of nursing continuing education in the U.S. and — looking at our award record with the American Nurses Credentialing Center — the best.”
